Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
Actvox LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("Company", "we", "us"), operates BSV ("the Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, profile photo, and authentication data via our identity provider (Clerk).
2.2 Conversation Data
We store your conversations with AI agents (Mirror, Mr. Spark, Interview) to provide continuity, personalized guidance, and developmental tracking. This includes text messages, voice transcriptions, and AI-generated responses.
2.3 Profile & Developmental Data
The Service generates a developmental profile based on your interactions, including your position on the BSV Scale, behavioral patterns, and extracted insights. This data is used exclusively to personalize your experience.
2.4 Usage Data
We record how the Service is used — for example, messages sent, reports generated and payments — to run it, bill for it and improve it. These records are linked to your account ID and kept in our database and in PostHog, our product analytics service. If you accept analytics cookies, PostHog also records your activity in the app: pages opened, clicks, device and browser, approximate location from your IP address, and session replays — recordings of how you move through the app. PostHog does not receive what you read or write: in replays every text and image on screen, and anything you type, is hidden, and the text of what you click is not sent. This data is linked to your account ID, email address and name.
2.5 Payment Information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers or payment credentials. Stripe keeps its own records of your payments, and Stripe's privacy policy applies to them.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and personalize the Service (AI conversations, developmental tracking)
- Maintain conversation history and long-term memory for AI agents
- Process subscriptions and enforce plan-based usage limits
- Improve AI agent quality and Service performance
- Communicate important updates about your account or the Service
- Comply with legal obligations
4. AI Processing
Your conversations and generation requests are processed by third-party providers, each receiving only what the feature you use needs:
- Anthropic (Claude) — the language models behind every agent
- Voyage AI — text embeddings, which let the agents find what you said before
- ElevenLabs — transcribing your voice messages and reading replies aloud; OpenAI transcribes when ElevenLabs is unavailable
- OpenAI — generating images, such as the ones you ask for and your Self Discovery card
- xAI — generating the videos you ask for
- LangChain — LangGraph Cloud runs the agents and keeps the state of each conversation; LangSmith records each agent run, including its text, so we can find errors and improve quality
These providers process the data under their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We do not use your conversations to train third-party AI models.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure (Convex for application data, LangGraph Cloud for conversation state). We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Service providers: Clerk (authentication), Convex (database and file storage), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic, Voyage AI, OpenAI, ElevenLabs and xAI (AI processing, see section 4), LangChain (LangGraph Cloud and LangSmith: running and monitoring the AI agents), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), PostHog (analytics), Slack (our internal notifications about feedback you send us), Affonso (affiliate referral attribution), Quora (advertising measurement, only with your consent), Telegram (only if you connect your Telegram account)
- Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority
7. Data Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your account, conversations, developmental profile, portrait, journal and uploaded files from our database (usually within minutes, at most within 30 days), cancel your subscription and delete your sign-in account. Some copies remain for a limited time:
- LangGraph Cloud deletes a conversation's state 7 days after its last activity, and the agents' memory index 30 days after it was last used.
- LangSmith keeps records of agent runs, which include the text of your conversations, for up to 400 days.
- PostHog keeps session replays for 30 days, and analytics events until we delete them.
- Stripe keeps records of your payments, as tax and accounting rules require.
- We keep records of the consents you gave, the terms you accepted and the privacy requests you made, as proof that we honoured them.
To have your data deleted from LangSmith and PostHog sooner, write to us at privacy@actvox.dev
We may keep aggregated data that no longer identifies you.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent at any time

9. Cookies & Tracking
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. PostHog sets analytics cookies, only with your consent; section 2.4 describes what it records. If a partner in our affiliate programme referred you, our own server stores their code in a first-party functional cookie for 30 days so the referral can be credited; it is httpOnly, readable only by us, and set only when you arrive through a referral link. When you sign up through such a link, we share your email address and account identifier with Affonso, our affiliate platform, and the payment amount when you pay. If you accept marketing cookies, we use Quora's advertising pixel to tell Quora when a purchase completes, with its price and the Quora ad click identifier, so we can measure our ads. It is loaded only once a purchase completes; Quora receives the address of the page it runs on and may read its own cookies. If you accept marketing cookies and arrived from a ChatGPT ad, our server also tells OpenAI when you sign up, start a trial, subscribe, buy a report or a gift (with its price) or send your first message to Mirror, together with the ChatGPT ad click identifier, so we can measure those ads; it never sends what you write. You can withdraw that consent at any time in "Cookie Preferences". On basaev.com, Quora's advertising pixel loads only after you accept it in the site's cookie banner; once accepted, it reports the pages you view there to Quora, keeps the Quora ad click identifier in a first-party cookie for 90 days, and Quora may read its own cookies. You can withdraw it at any time through "Cookie settings" at the bottom of basaev.com, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a refusal. We use no other advertising cookies.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us for removal.
11. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to these transfers.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
