Actvox LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("Company", "we", "us"), operates Basaev ("the Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, profile photo, and authentication data via our identity provider (Clerk).

2.2 Conversation Data

We store your conversations with AI agents (Mirror, Guru, Diagnostic) to provide continuity, personalized guidance, and developmental tracking. This includes text messages, voice transcriptions, and AI-generated responses.

2.3 Profile & Developmental Data

The Service generates a developmental profile based on your interactions, including stage assessments, behavioral patterns, and extracted insights. This data is used exclusively to personalize your experience.

2.4 Usage Data

We collect token usage metrics, session frequency, and feature engagement data for service operation, billing, and improvement. We use PostHog for product analytics.

2.5 Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe via Clerk Billing. We do not store credit card numbers or payment credentials directly. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and personalize the Service (AI conversations, developmental tracking)
  • Maintain conversation history and long-term memory for AI agents
  • Process subscriptions and enforce plan-based usage limits
  • Improve AI agent quality and Service performance
  • Communicate important updates about your account or the Service
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. AI Processing

Your conversations are processed by third-party AI providers (Anthropic for language models, OpenAI for text embeddings). These providers process your data according to their respective privacy policies and data processing agreements. We do not use your conversations to train third-party AI models.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure (Convex for application data, LangGraph Cloud for conversation state). We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Service providers: Clerk (authentication), Convex (database), Anthropic (AI processing), OpenAI (embeddings), Stripe (payments), PostHog (analytics), Vercel (hosting)
  • Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, we remove your personal data, conversation history, and developmental profile within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained for analytics purposes.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent at any time

9. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. PostHog is used for product analytics with anonymized identifiers. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us for removal.

11. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to these transfers.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
